About Me

I am a mom of a college student, experiencing the woes and the joys of being an empty nester. I recently became a Stampin Up! independent demonstrator and am loving every minute of it.

Spring cannot get here quick enough. We had a taste of it this past Sunday with a high of 67 and mostly sunny skies.  Alas...the clouds moved back in with rains and soon to be more snow. I watched the one cat that is allowed outside run and scamper (yes...this cat scampered!) about the backyard with such joy at the warmer weather and lack of snow on the ground.  I know how he feels.

Here are two cards that I have been waiting to post until the recipients saw them first:

This is a birthday card I made for my sister using the Stampin Up! Owl Builder punch.

This card I made for my 4 year old niece.  She was having a "Tangled" birthday party (Rapunzel).  This card was fun to make.  It's a slide open pop up card.  This is the card "opened" the flowered band slides down over the "happy birthday" pulling the rest of the card down to a flat state that allows it to fit inside an envelope for mailing. For a tutorial on how to make a sliding pop up card visit Splitcoaststampers

Thanks for stopping in and having a look!

Y'all come back now ya hear?

Wedding Invites & Etc.

Ta da! Here they are.  I finally found the photos of the invites *I made for my niece.

*I had to come back and edit this some.  I must send a shout out to my gals that HELPED me put all 170 of the invites together!  A special thanks to my dear friends: Teri, Annette, Ellie and Lynne for being there when it was crunch time!  Y'all are the best!

And here is a birthday card I made for a younger niece:

And here is a cat just because I promised cats:

Kittens Wittens "hiding".
Peace and Joy!

6 Months in a Blink of the Eye

Well look who is back!  Just thought I'd post a couple cards I've been working on lately.  Now that the wedding invites are done, sent and the beautiful wedding a loving memory, and the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays are behind us, I should hopefully be posting more.  I'm nursing a migraine today so I don't really have much to say, so I'll get to the important part, the cards!  Peace and joy.

Unfortunately I needed to make a sympathy card.  I "cased" this one from one I found online changing the color scheme and the DSP that I used.

Here is a card my Upline Linda Halladay made at one of her camps last year.  I just reworked the colors and stamps used. It's a cute idea and something a little different than the usual half fold cards:

Here is a little Valentine Card I made.  While I think it turned out cute, it feels like it is missing something, but I haven't quite pinned down what it needs.  I think I was going to add some ribbon or some other embellishment between the window and the words at the bottom.  Maybe a couple more hearts.

Here is one more Valentine I made for a friend of mine.  Simple yet pretty.  At least I think so :)

I have a couple more cards that I cannot post just yet...but will post them after I get them to the people that I made them for.  I hope you enjoyed today's picks.  Thanks for stopping in!
